2016 Gift Guide For Men

Well happy Monday friends!

I am officially feeling the festive season is upon us. It’s Thanksgiving week, Christmas decorations are starting to pop up around us and British Christmas ads have been practically on replay on my laptop the past week.

Nowhere does Christmas TV ads like the UK does! Did you see Heathrow’s ad? Ugh, tear jerker! So sweet! John Lewis is also one of my absolute favs!

Anyway, with the festive period kicking off, the one thing that gives me anxiety is buying gifts. Especially for men! Women are so easy to buy for (or at least I think we are), but ladies, am I right in saying whether we are buying for a husband, father, brother, boyfriend, whichever male loved one of ours, they’re never easy to buy for.

Well I’m here to share a few ideas with you this season.

  1. JORD Wood Watch

Watches I feel like are always a classic accessory. They’re a great gift idea and something that lasts, they don’t go out of style, and when given as a gift, they hold a sentimental value too.

This particular men’s watch from JORD is the ‘Conway’ made from Zebrawood & Dark Sandalwood. It does come in a variety of colours, but what I love with this particular one, since this is an early Christmas gift for my (not so baby) brother, is the mix of the classic design with modern detailing.

My brother is extremely sporty but he has good style too, and the face on this watch I feel is the perfect blend, with a gorgeous unique band and stainless steel links, perfect reflection of his style.

JORD has a vast range of designs for all, so if you are also on the market for a women’s watch, I highly recommend checking them out. You can visit them directly here.

Various types of woods are used to make each unique watch design, and this particular Zebrawood is native to West Africa, and considered a luxury hardwood. JORD provides a lovely little explanation for each material they use on the JORD website you can browse.

In celebration of the holiday season, JORD are providing $25 gift vouchers for you to use towards your purchase. You can claim your gift card here. Yes, this is for all you lovely readers! They also provide free shipping worldwide.

Each watch comes in a beautiful wooden box too (pictured above), making for the ultimate timeless gift (sorry, couldn’t resist ;)).

Your gift card is valid through until 28th February 2017 of next year to use yours, so if you’re not looking for a watch right now you have time! JORD doesn’t often offer gift cards so I highly recommend claiming this now as this offer ends 18th December 2016.

2. YETI Coolers and Products for Outdoorsy Men

My Mr. is a complete outdoorsman. If he could pitch his tent in a forrest and go live there he would.

I’m more of a ‘glamping’ type of gal, so that idea is out the window!

He introduced me to this YETI brand a while back, because he keeps going on and on and on and on about how amazing their coolers and products are, designed for use when camping, fishing, hunting, basically being outdoors. I think he’s trying to hint at something but I’m not entirely sure… 😉

I have seen their products up close and must say they are great quality, and I particularly like this white range they have at the moment (though the Mr. is all about the camo colour, I’m all about the neutral greys and whites).

If you have a loved one who is all about the outdoor life, you can check out the YETI gift guide here.

3. GIORGIO ARMANI Acqua di Gio Pour Homme

Eau de toilette and perfume is something we all (or at least most) use on a daily basis.

A while back, I remember someone commenting that this type of gift is for lazy gifters, but I beg to differ. Some perfumes out there, first of all, are not cheap, and personally I love perfumes.

I love to have a range, depending on if I’m out during the day or night, my mood, I’ll wear different scents. And ladies, isn’t it nice when men smell NICE!? Right?

Personally I really like the smell of the Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gio Pour Homme, and that’s not because I met the model (Jason Morgan) from this campaign last year, totally not being biased at all ;).

Could I have been any more dorky during this photo op?!

But seriously, depending on your budget, there are several products within this range, and Macy’s has some awesome deals on this right now, you can check it out here.

4. BANANA REPUBLIC Casual Plaid Scarf

For the stylish man, this scarf is a great option.

I love when men wear scarves. I know not all men like to wear them, but I think they look really good on them!

For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere and currently experiencing the winter months, I really recommend a nice, good quality scarf as a gift option.

This particular one I love the colour of, it’s classy, and 100% wool so to keep those necks nice and warm!

5. STEALTH EDC Kit (iPhone or Android)

And last but not least, for the practical man, this Stealth EDC (Every Day Carry) kit is a fantastic gift idea.

There are options for either Apple or Android phones, as each has a charging USB.

They also come with an S-Biner/Bottle Opener, Keysmart and Screw Keys.

Do you have any awesome suggestions for gifts for men? Am I alone in finding it hard to shop for them?
